Bill – authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of Canton Point Bridge, came from the Senate, that body adhering to their vote passing the same to be engrossed – The House also adhere to their vote refusing to give it a second reading

Resolve in favor of Lemuel Witham, laid on the table by Mr Warren of Palmyra, was read a 2st & 2d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve authorizing the Treasurer of this State to make a temporary loan, laid on the table by mr Adams of Portland, was read a 1st & 2nd time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve – respecting Clerk hire in the office of the Treasurer and Secretary of State and for other purposes, came from the Senate with a proposition for a conference & appointing as Conferees[?] on their part & appointing Messrs Stebbins, Churchill & Parsons. the House accepted the proposition and appointed as
