Bill – establishing the County of Waldo, was called up, a motion made to strike out the word “Vinalhaven” which prevailed – an amendment was then offered by Mr Quinnam providing that the towns to be taken from Lincoln County, be held for the payment of their just and equal proportion of all debts due from the County of Lincoln, and the question on adopting the proposed amendment was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the negative as follows [see appendix page 298] yeas 50 Nays 68.

Mr Quinnam of Wiscasset moved a reconsideration of the last vote, and tomorrow afternoon at half past three o clock was assigned for the consideration of the motion.
