Bill to incorporate the Kennebec Manufacturing Company was read a 3d time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate – immediately on motion the last vote was reconsidered, and the Bill was referred for the purpose of amendment to messrs Eveleth of Windham, Smith of Hollis & Reed of Lewiston.
The committee on the petition of the President & Fellows of Harvard College reported a Resolve – and the report was accepted

The committee to whom was referred to the additional act to prevent mischief by fires in the woods reported the same in a New draft which was ordered to be printed for the use of the members
Petition of John Sargent for indemnity from the State for expenses incurred in erecting a Bridge at Sullivan, came from the Senate referred to Messrs Pond & Butman with such as the House may join – and the House concurred & Messrs Wass of Addison, Winslow of Albion & French of Prospect were joined.
Petition of William Tozier for a pension, was read & referred to the committee on applications from sick and wounded soldiers. Sent up for concurrence.
Petition of Theodore Parker & als for a repeal of the law authorizing the S. J. Court to lay out highways &c, was read and referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.
