A message was received from the House of Representatives, that they had again ballotted for the choice of a Major General of the fourth Division and had, on their part elected Richard T. Dunlap, and request the concurrence of the Senate

On motion by Mr. Parsons the Senate assigned tomorrow, at 10 oclock for coming to the choice of a Major General of the fourth Division

The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table a written message from the Governor enclosing a Communication from the acting Quarter Master General, which were read & referred to the Committee on Military affairs Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred

Bill to incorporate the Kennebunk Manufacturing Company come up amended and the Senate reconsider their former vote, adopted the amendment proposed, and passed the same to be engrossed, in concurrence,

Petition of Isaiah Jenkins and others of the town of Litchfield to be annexed to the town of Wales and Petition of William Gardiner and others of Machias Port to be annexed to West Machias, were severally read and, in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns.

Petition of Samuel Thatcher that certain monies by him paid as duty the office of Sheriff may be refunded and Petition of Betsey Littlefield for leave to convey certain
