Petition of Reuben H. Green and others Committee of the Stockholders of "Manufactures Bank", for the removal of certain restrictions was read and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking. Sent down for concurrence Came up concurred.

On motion by Mr. Pond, the petition of Jacob McGaw and the accompanying papers were taken from the files and referred to the Committee on Banks and Banking. Sent down for concurrence Came up concurred

Petition of Wade Sweatland and others for a new County west of Penobscot River " of Fayette Baker and others to be annexed to Castine and " of Cornelius Thompson and accompanying papers and Remonstrance of Nathaniel Burille and others against the incorporation of a town east side of the Pond in Newport, were severally read and in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns.

Petition of the Saco Iron Works Company for the alteration of their name, was read and in concurrence with the House referred to the Committee on Manufacture's.

Petition of the President and Directors of Merchant's Bank for an alteration in the name of their title.
