180. Bill to incorporate the town of Kirkland, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill authorizing the town of Bangor to purchase the Bridge over Kenduskeag ever in said town - was read 1&2nd time & tomorrow at 10' o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill to incorporate the Marine Bank, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill additional to ana ct for the limitation of actions, real and personal and of Waits of Eor, was taken up - Mr Fessbender moved to amend the Bill by striking out the 2nd Sec. - the question was decided by yeas and nays as follows yeas 41 nays 65 & the motion did not prevail - The Bill was then passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

The House refused to sustain the motion [inserted above]^made this morning for a reconsideration of the vote passing to be enacted, Bill "to repeal an act to establish Courts of Sessions & for establishing Courts of Sessions -

Bills in addition to an act to provide for the Education of Youth - - to incorporate the Oxford Bank - - additional act respecting the admission of Attornies - - to incorporate the Eastpond Dam Company - - additional to an act to establish a Municipal Coutr in the town of Portland - Resolve - relating to Bunt Island - were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurence

Resolves providing for the security of the public words against fire - - in favor of Abijah Fr Thayer - - authorizing the Court of Sessions for the County of Washington to borrow a certain sum of money - were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
