137 Monday February 14th 1825 Met according to adjournment. Petition of John Elwell for a redress of certain grievances was read and referred to the committee on New Trials. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve respecting Weights & Measures (introduced by Mr Adams of Portland on motion) was read and refused a passage.

Report on petition of Trustees of China Academy, came from the Senate recommitted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the Commercial Bank, came from the Senate amended for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the Mozart Society, was read a 3d time & amended at B & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Herman Nye, was read 1st & 2nd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of E. H. Lombard to be admitted to practice as an Attorney, was read and referred to Messrs Benson of China, Wingate of Bath and Ames of Lisbon.
