Afternoon. -


Bill to incorporate the Somerset Bank,” and

Bill to incorporate the Commercial Bank,” severally came up with amendments; and the Senate so far reconsider their former votes as to concur the House in a part of their amendments, nonconcur them in others; adopt further amendments in the Bills, and now pass the same to be engrossed: sent down for concurrence. -



Resolve authorizing the Land Agent to convey certain lands to Philip Page &als.” and

Bill establishing a Municipal Court in the town of Portland,” were read a 2d. time and passed to be engrossed: sent down for concurrence. -

Bill additional to an Act to prevent fraud in firewood, bark or coal exposed to sale,”

Bill in addition to an Act to incorporate the town of Richmond”, and

Bill respecting the fisheries in the Counties of Lincoln and Cumberland,” were severally read a 2d. time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House. -

Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Mt. Dam Bridge,” were read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d. reading. -

Bill to cede to the United States of America the jurisdiction of certain lands,” passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and was read twice and passed to be engrossed in
