Petition of Lewiston, to be annexed to the County of Cumberland, Petition of Buxton to be annexed to the county of Cumberland, and Petition of Denmark to be annexed to the County of Cumberland also Remonstrance of Eden against petition of Belfast for a New County, and Remonstrance of Trenton against petition of Philip Morrell and als. for a new County, were severally referred to the Committee on the formation of New Counties and the annexation of a part of one County to another. Sent down for concurrence.- concurred.-

Bill to limit the tenure of certain offices was read once and committed, to Messrs Wheeler, Dunlap and McCobb and Tuesday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading

Resolve on the petition of William H. Ruggles was read twice and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence. - (concurred Feb. 3d)
