Bill respecting fisheries in the waters of Vinalhaven was read once and committed to Messr Wilkins Dunn and Whitney and tomorrow at 10 Oclock assigned for 2d Reading.

[Reports on Petitions]

Mr. Witham from the Committee on the Petition of the Selectmen of Elsworth, reported that the Petitioners cause an attested copy of their Petition with this order thereon to be served on the towns of Ellsworth, Surry, Trenton and Plantation No 14, sixty days at least, before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Wheeler from the Committee on the Petition of Levi Thaxten, reported that he have have to bring in a Resolve. Read accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Witham from the Committee on the Petition of John Kilby & others, reported that the Petitioners have leave to bring in a Bill, Read, accepted and seat down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Bill to prevent the destruction of Salmon and alewives on Denneys River, was read once & committed, and tomorrow at 10 Oclock assigned for a 2d Reading.
