[1824] [January 16] [Petitions referred] Petition of Ripley to sell Ministerial Lands, and Petition of the Selectmen of Milburn for the appointment of Trustees to manage the funds received for their proportion on the division of Canaan, committed in the House to the Committee on Parishes &c. came up for concurrence, and were read and concurred.

[Reports on Petitions] Mr. McDonald from the Committee to whom was committed to much of the Governors Special Message and relates to a copy of a Resolution of the Legislature of the State of Georgia, relative to confirming the General Government in establishing Banks &c. within the District of Columbia, reported that it is inexpedient to take any order thereon; Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence, came up concurred.

Mr. Wheeler from the Committee on the Petition of Thomas Smith and others, Selectmen of St. Albans, reported that the Petitioners cause an attested Copy of their Petition with this order thereon, to be published in the American Advocate and General Advertiser, printed at Hallowell, three weeks successively, the last publication to be thirty days at least, before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred.
