[Claims assigned by Massts. to Maine.]

On motion of Mr Leach, Ordered, that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the claims assigned to this by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts be referred to Messrs Adams of P - Ricker & Read of N. with such as the Senate may join - Sent up for concurrence.

[Militia]

Ordered, that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the militia be referred to Messrs Pike, Ludwig & Moore with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

[Costs in criminal prosecutions]

Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to costs in criminal prosecutions be referred to Messrs Todd, Whittemore & Eveleth with such as the Senate may join - Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the punishment of convicts & the establishment of a States prison be referred to Messrs Williams, Quinnam, Call, Dunlap, McIntire, Holland & Tuttle with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the encouragement of Literature be referred to Messrs Abbot, Bridgham & Lewis with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

[districting for choice of electors]

Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to districting the State & electing Representatives to Congress be referred to Messrs Parsons, Burley, Nowell, Moulton, Russell, Woodbury, Parker of G.[,] Crowell of W, Wilkins of Norway, Parlin, Hutchins, Wilkins of New Charleston & Talbot.
