A. Yes sir, and communicate with the second and third only Q. It is used for the first second and third A. Yes, for all that floor, but is contiguous only to the second and third Q. The use of each lodge is confined to the wards upon that floor A. That is true so far as any knowledge goes. Now this end section which is called technically a lodge is apportioned by itself. Its system of heating an ventilation is entirely different from this or any other portion of the building. When I first saw those lodges the coils furnishing the heat and air were and are located directly underneath the lodges themselves, in the basement. This basement is that portion of the building which is known below the lower lodge floor. Now the interior construction of these lodges is to this effect. There is a central ("radiator" lines through) corridor, or hall as it is more commonly called there and on each side of it are rooms with doors opening out into this hall.
