413. Report on an Order relative to Primary Schools - on petition of Isaac Merrill & others - referring the same to the next Legislature, were severally accepted in concurrence.

The Committee on Rail Roads were discharged in concurrence from further service

Bill - An Act to establish a Seminary for the purpose of promoting useful learning and the better qualifying Primary School Teachers, came from the Senate that body nonconcurring the House in adopting their proposed amendment & referring the Bill without said amendment to the next Legislature - The House insist upon their vote of yesterday proposing amending the Resolve &c propose a Conference & appoint on their part as Conferees Messrs Humphrey of Gray, Tobin of Hartford and Warren of Durham

The Secretary of State came in and laid upon the table a list of the Laws & Resolves signed by Governor

Resolve in favor of the town of Alexander, laid on the table by Mr Foster of Pembroke, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
