Report on the order providing for the removal of snow drifts &c, &c that legislation is inexpedient was read & accepted in concurrence.

Petitions of Alexander Cooper & others - Moses McDonald & others - Eleazer Packard & others - William Goodwin & others - came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature for concurrence - and the House recede & concur.

Petition of Capt Neptune Nicholas for aid in behalf of the Penobscot Tribe of Indians came from the Senate indefinitely postponed for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill - An Act to regulate private booms on Kennebec River, was read 1st & 2d time & Friday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading and 300 copies thereof ordered to be printed for the use of the members.

Resolve - relating to the discussion of Slavery in the State of Maine was read once and Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Resolve - requiring the Treasurer to pay the members of the Legislature in Gold & Silver - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

The same Committee reported as truly engrossed - Bill - An Act to incorporate the Jonesboro' Whitneyville Rail road Company - An Act authorizing the erection of a dam across the mouth of Nequasset Creek - - An Act concerning Limited Partnerships -
