Petition of Joshua Patterson & others for a Bridge over Georges River at Warren was read & referred to the Committee on Roads & Bridges. Sent up for concurrence.

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses met in Convention, when Jabez Bradbury, Joseph Johnson, Seth Labaree and William Dunn came in and in their presence, before the President of the Senate took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter upon the discharge of their official duties as Councillors.

On motion by Mr Smith of Palmyra, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of abolishing the office of Reporter of decisions of the Supreme Judicial Court. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Parris of Buckfield Ordered That the Secretary of the State be requested to cause the abstracts of Bank Returns hereafter printed under his direction to be printed upon Tissue or Map paper. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by same, Ordered that Jesse Rowell now holding a seat in this House as a member from the town of Jefferson be suspended from his seat till otherwise ordered.
