The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve, relating to the State Road north of the Bingham Purchase
in favor of Josiah Morrill which
were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
The same committee reported as duly engrossed Bill authorizing the owners of the falls and Mills privileges on Nequasset Falls to erect a dam thereon. which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
Reports on the petitions of Alexander McLellan +als " of Edward Sargent granting leave for Bills, came from the Senate accepted for con currence and the House concurred.
Report on the petition of Benjamin Whitney + others, Ordering notice came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.
Report of the committee appointed by a joint order of 16th January to inquire into the expediency of reporting a bill providing that all witnesses called to testify before any Committee of the Legis lature be first sworn in the same manner as witnesses in Courts of Justice that legislation on the subject is inexpedient came from the Senate accepted for concurrence + the House con curred.
Report of the committee appointed by a joint order of 17th instant to consider the expediency of increasing the compensation of Witnesses in the Judicial Courts of this State that it is in expedient to do so came from teh Senate accepted for con currence and the House concurred.
