1091 Testimony of V. R. Luce Sworn By Mr. Baker Q. You are now supervisor on the male side? A. Yes sir, have been since July last, before that I was night watch 4 years Q. During that time was it your duty to go to the various halls and rooms once every few hours during the night including the lodge rooms? A. Yes Q. Was there another watchman that went at the half hour? A. Not at the time I began, there was one put on , then the round were made every half hour. Q. Were you informed when you began your rounds, each night by the physician in charge of the male department, what patients would be likely to need special care. A. Yes sir, It was Dr. Neal then. Q. Whenever you found any patients in the lodge rooms, who had been put in without clothing and in a violent state , what did you do if you found their violence in some degree subsided so that you thought they could bear clothing? A I gave it to them, it was a part of my regular duties. Q, Did you have occasion in the course of the 4 years to do that a good many times? A. Quite often Q. Where did you get clothing? A.
