1090 Q. (cont.) clothing, would you ask them? A. I did quite often, perhaps not always. They generally had clothing enough. Q. Those that were put in without any clothing at all, did you do anything for them? A. Any patient that would keep their clothing in their room, if they needed more I gave it to them, once in a while there was a case where they were put in without any clothing. Q. Did any of them complain of cold? A. No sir Q Those that had clothing often complained? A. I did not say they often complained. I said if I thought a man needed clothing a man needed clothing I gave it to him. They would ask for it once in awhile not often. By Mr. Baker Q. If a man was just in without any clothing at all, when in his violent state, if you found him afterwards peaceable and judged he would wear clothing you gave it to him without his asking for it at all? A. Yes sir, Q. Were you always informed when you went on duty for the night what cases there were that would likely to need your attention? A. Generally by one of the doctors. Generally Dr. Neal when he was there. After he left Dr. Sanborn, it would be the doctor who was in charge of the male side.
