the entire abolition of Slavery in the District of Columbia, came up from the House of Representatives referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting on the part of the House, of Messrs Holmes of Winthrop, Holmes of Alfred, Goodenow of Paris, Hopkins of New Portland, Appleton of Portland, Mardin of Palermo and Rollins of Nobleborough with such as the Senate may join.

Mr Rogers moved that the further consideration of said petition be postponed till the 8th of February 1937 - and the question of this postponing, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit:
