On motion by Mr Steward of Anson, Ordered, That the joint standing Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of prohibiting by law, County Commissioners from acting as Agents or Committees to expend money assessed by themselves for making or repairing roads within their several Counties. On motion by Mr Potter of Augusta, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so amending the Act entitled "An Act respecting the attachment of property on mesne process & directing the issuing, extending and serving of Executions, that all Executions issuing from the Supreme Judicial Court be made returnable at the end of three months unless said Court shall sit in the County where said Executions may be issued within that time, and in that case be made returnable to the next Court.
