The committee to whom the subject was referred yesterday, reported that they had agreed with Edward St John Neally of Thomaston to perform the duties of Assistant Clerk the present session at the rate of two dollars per day - and the report was accepted.
 
 
 
The speaker announced the appointment of Monitors as follows - viz -
 
 
 
For the 1st Division Mr Chase of York
 
2d " " Soule " Freeport
 
3d " " Lippincot " Columbia
 
4th " " Fletcher " Thomaston
 
5th " " O'Brien " Warren
 
6 " " Lurvey " Woodstock
