Ordered that a committee be appointed to contract with some suitable persona at a price not exceeding one dollar each night to have the charge of and to watch the State House in the night time during the present session of the Legislature - and Messrs Potter of Augusta, Smith of Palmyra & Ide of Frankfort were appointed said Committee.

Ordered That a committee be appointed to wait on the several regularly officiating Clergymen in the town of Augusta & respectfully request them to perform the services of Chaplain in this House in rotation on the morning of each day of the present session of the Legislature - & Messrs Scamman of Pittston, Fletcher of Thomaston & Wilson of Bingham were appointed said Committee.
