Ordered That Messrs Ripley & Rice be a Committee to enquire whether ministers of the Gospel, duly commissioned by the Governor to solemnize marriage, shall be required to take & subscribe the Oaths prescribed in the Constitution for qualifying civil officers, with leave to report by resolve or otherwise.
