the way I got to looking at Kennebunk as a posidy word was by running into Nepanket, or Nep[?], R. "near C. Neddick," may not be the [?], but sits the form, with looks [?] to me.  Close to our decidedly not Nipp[?] or Neap[?], here.  I would say that Kennebunk R (Biddeford [?]) was quite a good fit with the [?] meaning.  It seems reasonable to take the [?]
