The sender is Horatio G. Balch, not "Balsh" as given in the title of this .pdf document. Dr. Horatio Gates Balch (1777-1849) was born in Danvers, MA, and became an early and prominent citizen of Lubec, ME. He was elected from Lubec to the new Maine House of Representatives in 1820.
