A. I never have
Q. Were you there when Mr. Crowel was?
A. Yes that was when I was there the first time.
Q. Did Harriman used to be put into the lodge frequently?
A. Yes there were times that he was kept there for a week or fortnight at a time, nights.
Q. Did you ever feel the temperature of the lodge room in the night where a patient was , when it would come anywhere near freezing point?
A. No nowhere near it

A. It was a common phrase, 8 years ago and up to the present day
Q. Did you ever see any case of ill treatment?
A. I have, there was a man by the name of Sweeny at work in the fire room, I have seen Mr. Sampson the engineer there now, sweep the fire room with him, and then kick him from there into the coal shed.
Q. Did you find any reason why that was done?
