Report on an Order relative to enlarging the powers of Judges of Probate, that legislation is inexpedient came from the Senate recommitted for concurrence and the House concurred.
Resolve further providing for the promulgation of the Laws of the State, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed - The House nonconcurred and amended the Bill and then passed the same to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Foster of Pembroke
Ordered, That the Committee on the Pay Roll be instructed to make up the travel & attendance of William Brown, Samuel Small & Eleazer Parkard up to Monday next.
Bill - An Act prohibiting arrests and holding Courts to try civil suits on the fourth day of July, laid on the table by Mr Hamlin of Hampden, was read & referred to Messrs Hamlin of Hampden, Holmes of Alfred and Hinds of Kingfield
Bill - An additional act to prevent gaming for money or other property, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
