Judiciary be instructed to enquire whether the Resolve of March 17 1835 relative to Land pensions extend to cases of Citizens of Massachusetts enlisting in other States & report such explanations in relation thereto as the provisions of said Resolve will warrant. Sent up for concurrence.

were severally read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

were severally read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the Calais & Baring Railway and Canal Company, was read once and referred in concurrence with the Senate to the next Legislature.
On motion of Mr Potter of Augusta
Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire what alteration of the law relating to the service & taxing of subpoenas in civil proceedings if any, is necessary - also to inquire what further legislation, if any, is necessary to regulate the fees for service of subpoenas & others processes in which there is no command to make return thereof. Sent up for concurrence.
