Ordered That Messrs Soule of Freeport, Bodwell of Shapleigh, Sewall of Bath, Lake of Bucksport, Scammon of Pittston, Lennan of Searsmont and Shaw of Orono with such as the Senate may join be a Committee to ascertain & report when the progress of the public business shall be such as to require two sessions each day. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill - An Act to set off, Peter Gilman from East pond plantation and annex him to the town of Norridgewock, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
Bill - an act repealing an act entitled an act to prevent frauds in the inspection of Fish was read a 3d time. Sent up for concurrence.
Resolve in favor of certain Officers & Soldiers of the Revolutionary war and the widows of the deceased officers & soldiers, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
Bill - An Act requiring incorporated Companies to contribute to the revenue of the State, was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.
