Met according to adjournment.
On motion by Mr Holmes of Alfred
Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for obtaining lands for burying grounds in towns or villages without the consent of the owners, when such consent cannot be obtained on payment of an equivalent as provided by the Constitution. Sent up for concurrence.
Leave to Withdraw was reported on the Petition of Selectmen of Dover - Daniel J Perley & the reports accepted in concurrence.
Resolve for the benefit of the town of Kilmarnock was read once and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
Message from the Governor [ see appendix page 16.] transmitting the Report & Resolutions of the State of Georgia on the subject of Incendiary publications &c was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on the South Carolina Resolution.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the South Paris Manufacturing Company, was read a third time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence
Bill - An Act to incorporate the China Steam Mill Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
