Met according to adjournment.
Communication from Asa Redington Junr signifying his acceptance as Treasurer of State, and transmitting his Bond, was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on the Treasurer's Report.
An order came from the Senate instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of purchasing for the use of the State, a sufficient number of copies of the second and third volumes of Fairfield's Reports - and the House concurred.
Communications were received from
R.K. Goodenow Clerk of the Courts in Oxford County
Joshua Gould Clerk of the Courts in Somerset County
on the subject of committals & convictions in their respective Counties for offences punishable with death, which was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on the subject of Capital Punishments.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the Bluehill Fishing Company, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 0'clock assigned for a third reading.
Petition of Rufus Dwind [?] & others for a Bank at Bangor to be called the Rail Road Bank was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to Committee on Banks & Banking.
Petition of Pierson Cogswell & others to be incorporated into a Company to quarry Granite &c
